Private to Severus:
There are four Hamish Tuttle's in Scotland, all ironically within a close vicinity of one another. Two are in Ullapool, Scotland, one is in Marefield, and the other is in Corry Point. I was able to speak to all but one - the one that lives in Corry Point. They said that they haven't seen anyone matching Ron's description, but who's to say that they were even around at the time?

Given that they are the only Tuttle's in the directory, this should narrow down the search significantly.

Nov. 16th, 2009

Private to Severus:
I found eleven Hamish Tuttle's in the North and phoned them all. Sadly, none of them have any recollection of a boy matching Ron's description. I double and triple checked with them just to be sure, but came up with a dead end everywhere.

Private to the Order of the Phoenix:
There has been word from Ron, Molly and Arthur's boy. Draco has spoken to him and he's with Fenrir Greyback. He was responsible for- He doesn't have his Wolfsbane Potion though. He says he's somewhere up north, but that's all we have.

Ron is just a boy. We have to find him.

Private to Severus:
However much it is costing you to make potions for Ron, I'll help. With either getting the ingredients or helping, financially, to pay for the potion itself. For Molly and Arthur. They're close friends, practically family, and I owe them.

As promised to quite a few: a new picture of our little Lucy. It's hard to believe she's growing this quickly!

Cut for picture )

We dressed her up as a little fairy for Halloween. She had this colourful little dress and wispy wings on her back.

Private to Friends and Family:
Guess who had the best day today by crawling and standing herself up on the furniture without help! We have loads of pictures, for all of you who missed it (especially the godfather and godmother. ha!).

Oh, how she's growing up so quickly!

Sep. 19th, 2009

It's so easy to get caught up with taking care of Lucy and spoiling her absolutely rotten. The house is still far too quiet without Harry here or other constant visitors, but with Lucy's babbling (she's not quite old enough to speak just yet no matter what her father says!) and her infectious laughter, we're managing. She started teething several weeks ago and is a bit fussy because of that, but we're giving her toys from the freezer and other things to chew on, so it's helping alleviate some of her discomfort. It's adorable though - she has two little teeth sticking up from her bottom gum, in the front, and the rest of her mouth has none. I forgot how adorable that is.

Private to Harry and Draco:
All right, darlings, it's time to check in again and answer the same questions I ask each time.

1. How are you?
2. How are your classes going?
3. Do you need anything?

Private to Sirius and Remus:
So which one of you is going to offer to babysit tomorrow night?

Private to Hermione:
How are you, Hermione? Do you need anything, darling?

Private to Severus:
I haven't heard from you lately. How are things with your newly acquired shop going? Elizabeth is getting anxious for details, Sir, and will not be appeased until she gets all the details!

Private to the Order:
Why has it been so quiet lately?

Private to Friends and Family:
Whoever gave me this cold can expect me to cough back on them whenever I see you next. I don't have time to be sick, thanks!

Private to James:
I'm going to let Harry know that he can go back to Hogwarts. Even though I care very little for Narcissa Malfoy, I believe she is a hundred times better than Umbridge. And if things start to go downhill again, then we can always pull him back out.

We'll need to take him into Diagon Alley tomorrow to get his school supplies and a new set of robes.

Private to Draco:
Is there any chance you have a spare hour or two to drop by before leaving on the train? Also, did you hear about Severus' good news?

I'm adding my voice to the chorus of all those who think Hermione Granger is innocent. She may be a muggle-born, but she's a better witch than a dozen or so purebloods out there. She's beyond clever, kind, thoughtful, and would never hurt anything or anyone, and those who think she could and/or would, are completely daft.

Private to the Order of the Phoenix:
Has anyone heard anything about Hermione and how the auction went? Is she in friendly hands and not that little Lestrange bastard?

Private to Hermione:
I'm anxious to hear from you, darling. Write as soon as you're able.

Jul. 4th, 2009

Private to the Order:
James and I can host a meeting at Godric's Hollow tonight at six. Bring snacks if you'd like and anyone who should be a member of this organisation too.

Private to Severus Snape:
Come to Godric's Hollow this evening at six. There is an Order meeting and you're expected.

Jun. 30th, 2009

Private to the Order of the Phoenix:
Majority rules. So unless anyone has any substantial proof as to why Severus should not be allowed in the Order, then I say we have a meeting soon and induct him (and anyone else who may want to join) properly. We need to meet anyway. Voldemort hasn't shown his ugly face in quite some time now, so that could very well mean that he's gone for good. If we want to change things, now is the time, and since no one else is stepping up to the hoops, I propose either this Friday or Saturday.

Any objections? On both accounts.

Private to Friends and Family:
Lucy is already doing much better. Her fever finally broke the other day and she's back to sleeping for a few hours at a time and eating regularly. Thank you, Severus, for sending over the potion supplies. Having them then, instead of waiting several hours, likely helped a lot more than if we had waited.

Jun. 25th, 2009

Private to Family and Close Friends Only
Lucy has a cold and her fever has been climbing all night. It is currently at 101.9 and no matter what I give her or how much I keep her cool, it has continued to raise through the night. I don't have any of the standard pediatric potions downstairs in the potions cabinet and it's still too early to find an open apothecary.

If she gets worse -

She'll be fine, but if she gets worse, we may have to take her to St. Mungo's.

This is just plain ridiculous.

It really says something about the degree of our educational system in the wizarding world when the smartest and brightest witch in the entire school is being unfairly taken out because she doesn't have centuries of pure blood in her veins. I suppose this is the new world order you care to create: an order filled with imbeciles and incompetence, where even the most basic spells and potions require forethought before they are actually able to be performed as opposed to honing natural ability.

And to think I was regretting pulling my son out of that school and thinking twice about making future arrangements for my daughter. The only thing that is keeping the institution alive is the dedication of a few teachers. The rest - it's just gone to the dogs. I'm glad I pulled my son out and I'm glad my daughter will not be taught in a second rate institution.

Our money and support is henceforth withdrawn from the school and no further contributions will be made.

Private to the Order of the Phoenix. Severus is included in the wards.
Someone please tell me this is a joke? Amycus Carrow as the new Minister of Magic? Perhaps we should have tried to act sooner. Is there even a chance of turning things around?

Private to Draco. Severus can read.
A little bird told me that you thought all Healers were incompetent and didn't know what they were doing. Are you giving the poor Healers under Severus's care a hard time, darling?

May. 31st, 2009

Backdated to Friday morning

It feels good to be home and to sleep in my own bed without fussy healers and medi-witches bustling about. The food is also marginally better, too. I wanted to thank everyone that dropped by while I was in the hospital and for the well-wishes. And for those that didn't --

Private to Sirius and Penelope:
Thank you both for looking after Lucy and Harry. Lucy especially. I hope neither were too much of a handful.

May. 13th, 2009

I feel rather detached from everything here lately. Between everything going on lately, I've barely had the time to sit down pour over this journal. No doubt I've missed quite a few things, but things happen. I almost feel guilty for being out of the house today since James wasn't feeling particularly well this morning and Lucy was fussy. Poor Harry; he has to be sociable and help take care of the two of them.

James has shown our ickle one off to the world plenty enough, so now it's my turn. Her hair is really starting to turn red now and that makes me excited. Harry turned out just like his father and I love that Lucy's looking like me. It is only fair, after all.

Cut for picture )

She is such a happy baby, even though she's giving the boys trouble today.

May. 10th, 2009

Private to Severus Snape:
Since you're usually opposed to sending owls back and forth for security reasons, I'm writing you here instead. Thank you very much for the corsage. You really didn't have to send my anything, you know. However, it's really beautiful and smells lovely. So thank you once again.
